Optimus Prime

Today I decided to do a mini experiment. I do this experiment a lot though. But today was extra cool.
Today I just wanted to listen. These are some of the highlights:

"HEYYYYYYYYYYYY!!"
cars driving
backpacks jingling
complete silence as I walked past two boys who LOOKED like they were engaged in an extremely exciting conversation...very suspicious.
my shoes snapping as I walked
wind
"Ya, like when Optimus Prime ripped off that guy's head!" Might I remind you that I attend Brigham Young University. ha ha.


And what was even more exciting was that I SAW more things. I wasn't just listening to the world around me, I was seeing it. I wasn't caught up in reviewing facts I had just crammed in my head as I raced to the testing center. I was feeling the sun beat down on my face, and was loosing my thoughts in gratitude for this beautiful world around me.

Sometime we just gotta be silent.

We have to listen and we have to see.
