Teenagers, politics and a list

So I T.A. for a Multicultural Education class at BYU. I love it. The hours are whenever I want to work and I find the class so great. It was one of my favorite classes I've taken at BYU (at least one of my favorite secondary ed classes). The students did an online session today and one of the articles the professor had them look at really really made me go crazy. I thought I would share.

Sorry for all the crazy posts about cheating/teenage problems with sexuality posts. I just think these things are important to know about.

The debates are important too. You should watch them and then not post anything about them on Facebook. My friend's status this morning read: Let's all remember: the debate was last night. Don't continue is on facebook. You, in fact, are not running for office. Leave the dirty work to the politicians.

Hilarious. I love her.

You should also find out about the topics these men are talking about. And you should know who else you'll be voting for in a few weeks. It's not just about these two men. The President is just one part of government. Ever heard of the balance of powers? Yes, that means the House of Representatives and the Senate. You'll be voting for those people too...that's important.

On a less serious note
1) My mom, Tanner and I mostly painted the baby's room yesterday. We forgot a ladder so the top of the room is still blue.
2) I decorated the front porch with spider webs. I'm making a huge foam spider to put on my door instead of a wreath. It's kind of like...welcome to my lair.  Tanner insisted we bought orange lights to string around. I will put those up tonight.
3) My father-in-law is here and we're excited! Tanner and his dad are running the St. George Marathon (along with quite a few other friends) on Saturday. I think they are awesomely crazy.
4) I am going to post a few more pictures of my increasing waist line soon.
5) I bought a beautiful picture to put in the baby's room and it makes me want to cry every time I look at it. I'll obviously post pictures when the room is finished
6) This baby is coming in 2 1/2 months...
7) Obviously I'm having a really hard time focusing on school. All I want to do is nest. However, I am doing really awesome in my four classes. Yay for only 12 credits! Life is so much easier when you're not dancing. Yay!

Hope you have a really really awesome day.

  2. Sounds like things are going well for you little lady!! I'm so glad!! Nesting is the best, isn't it? I could cry every time I rock in my little wooden rocking chair just looking at my baby's room and dreaming about the day I'll be there in it WITH him...which will hopefully be in the next couple days!!! I've been in the fall spirit too but I've hardly decorated our house with REGULAR things much less with fall things, so good on ya for making a...lair :) Miss you and love you!! Hopefully I'll be seeing you in the next week or so...at the HOSPITAL!!! or at my house, either way, wherever you can make it to see your future son-in-law :)
