Honestly?

I was recently able to interview for the position of an EFY counselor. What an experience. I learned so many different things in that short hour of my life.

When we're interviewing we always try to put on our best self, to say the right answer. To come across as the best person for that job. To sell yourself. But are those answers you're giving really YOUR answers?
This was a group interview and as I watched people answer certain questions it was interesting because I could tell who each of those people were. Whether they were unsure of themselves, or too sure of themselves. Whether they were giving the "right" answer or their own answers. What was I giving? Thankfully my question was based solely on my testimony. Something that I know for myself. There isn't a right or wrong answer for what you know and what you believe. So get to know yourself. Then you can truly showcase yourself...honestly.

If you want to come across as someone who is kind, thoughtful and in other ways wonderful, don't pretend to be that way. Become that person.

"For what we love determines what we seek. What we seek determines what we think and do. What we think and do determines who we are and who we will become."
