Winner

This evening I had the opportunity to attend a student recognition dinner for the Dance Department. I was lucky to receive a wonderful scholarship from Mary Bee Jensen-the founder of the Folk Dance program. The food was great, the women were lovely and the gratitude was plentiful. The best part of the evening was when someone announced that under some seats were pieces of paper indicating the winner of each table. They were the ones who got to take the beautiful tulips in the center of each table home. I was excited but nervous because I don't usually win things like this. I was the girl in primary who always reached down under her chair and never found something. This time, I felt the piece of paper and grabbed the winning paper. I took those flowers home, vase in all and I felt so happy. It's so strange that something so small can be significant to you. I am continually blessed and those happy tulips will make me smile for days to come.

  1. More tulips! Lucky girl! I don't think there could have been a more appreciative winner. Reminds me of when my sis in law gave me tulips after I had Hazel... she said something about how I probably couldn't have taken them home from the hospital and I assured her that not only did I, but I carried them from room to room.

Also, you were right. Flora got her first tooth yesterday, and has another 2 coming in. She still cries whenever I'm not touching her. Thanks again!
